American Metal Specialties builds stainless cable railings for use in aluminum, stainless steel, wooden, or steel post railing systems.
We serve the entire U.S. including Alaska and Hawaii and can arrange shipments internationally.
Cable spreaders provide a way to expand your post centers further apart than the recommended 4 foot maximum. This same thing can be done with any non-ferrous material such as stainless, copper, bronze or even wood. In this case the polished stainless tubing looks very nice with the surrounding aesthetic.
The photo below shows a close up of a recommended corner using two posts so the cable can go on around easily; saving the additional fittings that would be required if the cable was stopped and started at the corner. It also isolates the cable loads if you do decide to start and stop at the corner rather than attaching everything to one corner post. Just be sure that in your jurisdiction that the posts are no further apart than your code gap allows. It's usually 4, 5 or 6 inches with some areas in Florida requesting a cable 2" off the deck.
