This a job in Durango, CO with stainless posts for an interior stairway with 2 x 6 rounded over for the top rail accenting the
cable infill panels for a simple yet elegant look for the interior stairway area. Stainless grip rails were added to complete the system.
As you can see the selection of materials by the owner appears to be the right choice for this application. The exterior deck was done
with wooden posts to match the exterior look of the home and surrounding area.

The last two photos show a clean deck application where one run of 10 cables went completely around the deck with another run of cables
going from the house and on down the stairway without stopping for a clean smooth look. Note the threaded stud fitting at the post next to
the house at the head of the stairs. Your deck can be as clean as this one with a little planning.

Use of cable is growing in popularity and you can see two examples of this in this one home. One is an elegant interior application and
the other a normal deck application of the use of cables to enhance the quality of a home. In addition there is no glass to clean or break,
the wind can blow across the deck on a warm summer day and the interior stairway is finished to a look that is pretty hard to beat.
