Waterfront Cable Railing Renovation

This was a project where we worked with the homeowner and a local contractor to renovate an existing deck railing. Wooden railings were removed and new heavier posts with top rail were installed. The homeowner was very happy with the finished job and you can see why. View in the right photo is back towards the mouth of the harbor. The wooden framing blended well with the surroundings, especially the water view and the cable almost disappears into the background.

As the photos show, the cable almost vanishes in the background which makes for a very natural looking end result. Notice the use of a two post corner. This was done to allow a choice of either running the cable on through or stopping and starting at the corners. We used a turnbuckle on the post next to the wall since there wasn't enough room to get behind it to adjust the cable.
