Railing Kit Done By Homeowner

Homeowner had a vinyl waterproof deck surface installed and wanted a nice railing to
compliment the project and allow a view of Puget Sound. For the sloped sides, he took the bases off
the posts and recut the slope angle on the bottom of the posts. When reinstalled the posts were plumb
and the bases sat on the sloped deck without spacers under the lower edges where the
hardware was used to anchor the bases to the deck. Parallelogram glass was used on the sides to make a nice even glass to post gap of about 1-1/2 inches per side. Results: a nice addition to the home with a
nice view as shown below.
