The following three photos show a side mounted picket system on a rebuilt deck that includes a stairway and a slightly wider portion of the deck that had angles other than 45 or 90 deg. The end results are very nice. This could be your home too.

The two above photos show how the system was installed on the side of the deck with some special attention
being paid to the angle portion. The color of the surrounding decorations really set off the entire
project done entirely by the homeowner.
The photo below shows the angle portion again along with the stairway at the far end.
There were several drawings send back and forth to make sure just what was needed. Be sure to allow time
for this sort of dialog to make sure things are done correctly.
