Another Aluminum Railing and Waterproof Deck using a Vinyl Membrane
Shown below are 3 photos of the same job showing the deck and vinyl, the carport gained
and view toward the Narrows Airport by the Narrows Bridge here in Tacoma. In this project (could be yours), the extension of the deck out about 8 ft. beyond the original 15 year old deck allowed the sun to hit the deck (faces north, note the neighbors to the right in the top photo), gives the owner a much more usable deck and they gained a carport at the same time. The structural wooden portion including columns and beams was overbuilt to insure it would last a very long time. The homeowner could have a large party on this deck and not worry.
