Payment Information
Home Page
Payment can be done in several ways:
1. Credit Card (MC, Visa, Discover)
2. Money Order
3. Cashiers Check
4. Company Check
5. Personal Check
6. Cash
Most of our sales are paid with credit cards, cashiers checks or wire transfers primarily because of the convenience and the fact
that we are selling all over the US from our facilities in Tacoma, WA south of Seattle about 35 miles.
This greatly speeds up the process of getting our product out the door by making sure payment is actually made for products purchased
from us.
Some send personal or company checks, but in reality we as a business must make sure payment is secure before releasing materials and that
means waiting for that form of payment to clear the bank which can easily take weeks. In some cases we may never know if the check has
cleared the banking system because the check could have been lost at one of the banks or somewhere in between. The purchaser's bank will
almost never tell a caller anything about that check or the account without written authorization by the check writer (purchaser) since
9/11.
Our own bank in reality can not tell us for certain that any particular check from one of our customers has in fact cleared the banking
system's routes and byways. The old days of calling the bank for availability of funds or to inquire on status of a check clearing
the customer's bank are gone.
When selling materials for a project, we are considered a "Material man" meaning that we supply items for a construction project. State
laws vary, but in most we must send a "Notice" within 10 days to most parties that we have supplied materials for this project. This
enables us to keep open an avenue of obtaining payment through legal means which is far too time consuming and costly too in reality
make it affective in most cases considering the low cost of our individual sales. Sales are usually for one or more decks and not a
high rise.
This is the reason for the high use of credit cards, cashiers checks and wire transfers in our sales. Exceptions are made for some very
well known local customers within our area, but we even had problems with one recently with a bad check and had to go to the homeowner for
payment.
