Part description by letter shown in the photo.
A. Welded corner at 90 degrees.
B. Welded corner at 45 degrees.
C. Special corner other than 90 or 45 degrees. These can be welded or most often the splice join is welded at the angle needed and the painted large outer extrusion is mitered and carefully fitted.
D. Splice joint shown metered, but not yet welded for the odd angle application.

The screw heads shown as black circles on the bottom side of the mounting flange need to be away from the posts since the post top sits on this flange. Can get pretty busy in a corner or a splice over a single post in a long run so be careful with screw location. Woops! After looking this page over as I am doing the coding, I realize that I drew the four (4) inner screw locations too close to the splice joint since the post is 2-3/8" square and the screws need to be to either side of the post in the installed position.
