Clean installation with a continuous rail down the stairs and around the deck.

The elevation change in the deck was handled by running the large top rail around the deck and down the stairs by welding two interior splice joints to match the angle of the stairs. Entire project was done with two runs of 9 cables each using our 1/8" CA1010 cable assemblies. Owner installed entire system himself.

Note the two posts on the first step and how the cable goes straight and the follows the slope of the stairs after passing through the post at the head of the stairs. This is how it works if the first step is level with the deck. Makes for a clean turn and easier cable installation in that area because you are working with cable level with the deck at the termination point. With the posts set this way with one in the corner you would normally stop and start the cable as we did here. Stairs take a little planning before you install the stringers and steps. This one worked out well and looks very nice.

We have set photos in a reduced size to fit two side by side. In most cases if they have a colored (usually blue, depends on your settings) border you can click on any photo to take you to a larger version to see more detail. Use the "Back" button in the upper left of your screen to return to this page from the enlarged photo.
The links at the top or bottom will take you back to the Home Page or Cable Thumbnail page.
